Another interesting piece...
This music video is by one of my favorite UK bands, Coldplay. If you watch carefully you can see that the man in the video is acutally lying on the ground the whole film while the chalk-like animation is the only thing really moving. I found this animation technique they used was really interesting, so I thought I'd share it with you guys! Enjoy!
A sad, yet inspiring piece of art...
This film, Grave of the Fireflies, was released in 1988, one year after I was born (21 years ago), so it isn't exactly a recent film, however it is definitely one of my favorite animated films of all time. It has a rather depressing storyline and the ending will put you in tears (apparently even Roger Ebert claims it's quite an emotional piece!). Animation-wise, the movie is spectacular! The colors of the characters and their environments portray how you, the viewer, should be feeling at that particular moment. It's a beautiful film, and if you take the time to watch it, I promise you won't regret it!
